Immediate, free, global access to all NJPST research — no embargo, no paywall.

NJPST is a Gold Open Access journal. Every article is freely available online immediately upon publication.

1. What Open Access Means

Any user may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link or crawl the full text of any NJPST article without prior permission. The only constraint is to give appropriate credit to the author(s) and the journal (CC BY 4.0). Commercial reuse is permitted with proper attribution.

2. Copyright & Licensing

  • Upon acceptance, copyright is transferred to the Polymer Institute of Nigeria (PIN) as publisher, as described at Author Guidelines → Copyright Notice.
  • Authors retain the right to use their work for teaching, research, presentations, and self-archiving of the accepted manuscript with acknowledgment.
  • The final publisher PDF may not be posted on commercial repositories without written permission, but may be deposited in institutional repositories with attribution.
  • Third-party material (figures, tables) reused under CC BY 4.0 must be attributed as in the article; otherwise permission from the original holder is required.

3. No Embargo, No Subscription

Publication is immediate upon proofing. There is no subscription, no registration wall, and no embargo period. All back-issues (Vol. 12, 2017 onwards) are being digitised and made open access retroactively.

4. Self-Archiving (SHERPA/RoMEO: Green)

Authors may deposit the accepted manuscript in any repository immediately, and the published version after publication, with a link and DOI back to the journal site. No fee, no embargo.

5. Machine Reading & Text/Data Mining

Content may be crawled, indexed and mined for non-commercial and commercial research, provided the CC BY 4.0 attribution and DOI are preserved. Systematic downloading must respect `robots.txt` and not overload the server — contact us for bulk access.

6. Funding & APC Transparency

Open access publication is currently supported by the Polymer Institute of Nigeria. See our APC & Waiver Policy for fee details and waiver criteria.

7. Indexing

All OA articles expose Highwire Press meta (`citation_title`, `citation_pdf_url` etc.) for Google Scholar, Crossref, Zenodo DOI, AJOL and DOAJ harvesting. See Archiving Policy for preservation.
